Objectives
The objectives of this course are:
To make the companies database marketing team aware of
Data Mining and Database Marketing terminology to provide
them with a context to the work they are performing within

To learn to think analytically about data related projects
• To appreciate the data quality issues common
in data mining projects • To enable the
team to identify data quality issues
• To provide the team with a set of tools at hand
that they can use to resolve some of these data issues

knowledge of various commonly used transformations on
the data and used when data mining. Furthermore, understand
the effect they have on the data |

Understand some of the data mining techniques as regards
their effect on data pre-processing requirements
• Understanding sampling and how to test samples
for the representations of the underlying population
• Provide an understanding of the Crisp-DM standards
to implementing Data Mining
